This page describes which cookies and similar technologies Piklo Booking uses on this website, and why. We use few cookies and no marketing or retargeting cookies today. The first time you visit, we show a cookie banner where you actively opt in or out — nothing beyond what is strictly necessary is set until you have given consent.
1. Necessary cookies
These are always active and cannot be deselected. They include the login cookie, set when you create an account or log in, which keeps you logged in between pages. Your cookie choice (whether you accepted analytics or not) is also stored locally in your browser so we can remember it — this is not a tracking mechanism, just a memory of your own choice.
2. Analytics and attribution — requires your consent
These are ONLY activated if you click "Accept all" or turn on Analytics in the cookie banner. If you decline, or later withdraw consent, they are not set — and an already-set piklo_acq cookie is deleted immediately.

We also use PostHog to understand how visitors use our website (e.g. page views and scroll depth) — but only once you have consented. Our setup does not store this analytics in a cookie — data is held only temporarily in the browser's memory and is cleared when you close the tab. Data is sent to PostHog, which processes it on EU servers.
3. Error and performance monitoring
We have a monitoring tool (Sentry) in place to detect and fix errors on the website. It is intended solely for operating and troubleshooting the service itself — not for tracking you — and would run independently of your cookie choice. A live test (July 2026) showed that the tool does not, in practice, currently send data from your browser.
4. Marketing and retargeting
Piklo does not currently use any marketing or retargeting cookies (e.g. from Google or Meta).
5. How to control your cookies
You choose to opt in or out in the cookie banner the first time you visit the site. You can always change your choice again by clicking the cookie icon in the bottom-right corner. You can also always delete or block cookies through your browser's settings — note that this may affect features such as staying logged in.
